UsabilityOne has recently been trialling the use of un-moderated user tests in conjunction with our traditional moderated tests. The un-moderated user tests, in the form of a modified online survey, allow the quantification of observations from moderated user testing and unlike a normal online survey are tailored to capture both customer
opinion and
behaviour in an online environment. While a great addition to usability testing, we’ve realised un-moderated user tests will never be able to replace the value and power of observation.
